Ascender Standard Boasts New Look, New Folding System, and New Price Point; Music Oasis is Patented System for In-Airport Retail and Experiential Marketing for Music Products
SAN DIEGO – May 31, 2022 – Ciari Guitars, Inc., an emerging music-tech company focused on guitar-related innovations, today announced participation in NAMM Media Day on June 2, 2022 from 3-5 pm at the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as the launch of the Ascender Standard folding electric guitar and the Music Oasis In-Airport Guitar Lounge at The NAMM Show, being held from June 3-5, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Ascender Standard
Building upon the success of its award-winning first product, the Ascender Custom, Ciari is proud to announce the launch the Ascender Standard, which boasts an exciting new look, an entirely redesigned, simplified folding system, and an attractive, lower price point for broad appeal and affordability.
The new look, including a completely new body style and headstock, was designed by industry legends Grover Jackson and Joe Glaser. The folding system was redesigned to be super intuitive, low profile, and with a reduced weight for enhanced ease of use. And with a target MAP of $1800, the Ascender Standard is poised to be the go-to solution for value-conscious consumers who have a mobile lifestyle and demand quality.
Like its predecessor, the Ascender Standard folds symmetrically via a mid-neck hinge and fits in a backpack for industry-leading convenience during transportation or storage. When you want to play, in a matter of second the Ascender Standard can be deployed for use – whether on stage, studio, or wherever your travels find you.
Specifications for the Ascender Standard include: Mahogany neck, 24 ¾ scale, pau ferro fingerboard, Plek-planed fingerboard and fret dress in association with Glaser Instruments, basswood body, weight of ~7.15 lbs., folded length of 18.5”, unfolded length of 36.5”, master tone and volume knobs, locking tuners, and a patented folding system boasting a mid-neck hinge and a “throttle-style” actuator to quickly and easily tighten and loosen the strings to enable folding/unfolding. Finishes include natural, as well as nano-satin black, white, red, blue and all-new seafoam green.
The Ascender Standard comes with a high-quality, quilted gig bag to transport and/or store the guitar in the folded state. The quilted gig bag boasts 3-point straps for horizontal or vertical carrying. An optional backpack is available for purchase, which is designed to carry the quilted gig bag along with other items such as a laptop and/or guitar accessories such as pedals, headphones, recording equipment, etc.
Whether in the quilted gig back or also within the branded backpack, the Ascender Standard is hyper convenient with a length of 19.5” x width of 14” – which enables stress-free mobility for all modes of travel – commercial airplane (fits underseat!), motorcycle, RV/van, boat/yacht, and private airplane – and is also great for space-constrained living.
Music Oasis
The Music Oasis is an in-airport experiential marketing lounge with comfortable seating, a guitar tower/display case, and multiple guitar play-stations with headphones and iPads so passengers can de-stress and relax before or after flights while playing – free of charge – an Ascender™ folding electric guitar from Ciari Guitars.
The Music Oasis offers a convenient, inviting and low stress “try before buy” opportunity for guitarists to test the innovative line of folding guitars from Ciari Guitars. When not in use, the Music Oasis is effectively an art installation, with multiple guitars in elegant, backlit displays for the viewing pleasure of passersby.
With the Music Oasis, Ciari Guitars is the only guitar company with an in-airport experiential marketing offering. It represents a unique opportunity for Ciari Guitars to partner with other music instrument and accessory companies, given the excellent access to a captive market in the airport environment. Ciari Guitars is currently working with San Diego International Airport on the re-launch of the Music Oasis in 2022 to capitalize on the increase in air travel due to the waning impact of Covid-19.
